An overview of the admissions process for Standard Applications is outlined below.

  • Admissions assessment:
    1. Test: All High School Applicants are required to sit for an admissions test. The test will consist of the CEM Baseline Test, an English test (Oxford online Placement), and a Mathematics placement paper (applicable for Grade 9 only). We will also require applicants to complete a language paper in the second language they will be studying if they are accepted into SJI International. This is not part of the Admissions Test but is just an indication of their ability and will help with placing the student at the most appropriate level.
    2. Interview: All applicants will need to attend an online Admissions Interview with a member of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The interview can only take place if your application is complete and after sitting for the Admissions Test.
  • Review: Upon completing the assessment, our Admissions Review Committee conducts a holistic review of each applicant taking into account all supporting documents, admissions test and interview results.
  • Outcome: Our Admissions Office will inform parents of the outcome by the end of June (for Grade 7) and by the end of October (for Grade 8 to Grade 11). If the applicant is offered a place, parents will be asked to confirm acceptance within the designated time period and will be required to make payment for the Enrolment Fee and Security Deposit.
